Intro Smart Textiles The future of textile engineering is intelligent: here at Eschler, we work in close collaboration with research institutes and specific working groups to develop intelligent textiles based on knitted fabrics. Having our finger on the pulse at all times allows us to respond optimally to customer-specific requirements. In this regard, we focus on the following fields: lighting, heating and sensors.

Smart textiles Block 2

‘Smart textiles’ are created when the ‘hard’ world of electronics and the ‘soft’ world of textiles merge into one intelligent textile solution. Through this extraordinary combination, new textile products are developed with unique capabilities such as heating or lighting. Furthermore, through the clever integration of sensors, we develop advanced textiles that interact with their environment. Application examples include innovative wall systems, ambient lighting and panel heating, as well as humidity and pressure sensors.
